With his genuine voice, sincere songwriting abilities, and energetic live shows, singer/songwriter, Doug McCormick is quickly making a name for himself within the country music community. Deeply rooted in his small town, South Carolina upbringing, Doug’s music offers a unique marriage of traditional country music with a modern flavor of today.
Along the way, Doug has shared the stage with several nationally known acts such as, Luke Bryan, David Nail, Colt Ford, Keith Anderson. Charlie Daniels, Rhett Akins, and Corey Smith. Playing around 175 shows a year across the Southeast, Doug continues to build upon his grassroots following.
In the spring of 2011, Doug independently released his sophomore album, “The Last Country Song”. While holding the #1 position on XM57’s top 20 count down for 3 consecutive weeks, the first single release, “Watch Your Mouth” received significant air play in both XM and FM radio markets.
Such undeniable, independent success found Doug immersed into the highly competitive Nashville music scene. While paying his dues at several music city hot spots, Doug began turning heads within the industry. Taken in by his sincere, energetic approach to entertaining a live audience, one of Nashville’s most prestige live music venues, The Wildhorse Saloon offered Doug a regular spot in their 2013 entertainment line up.
While the live aspect of his career, continued to progress, Doug began to also focus on who he was becoming as a songwriter, After spending some time developing the craft, Doug signed his first publishing deal with BMG Chrysalis as an artist/writer in January 2013.
With a heart felt desire to make a positive impact, Doug continues pushing forward in his career. As a team begins to come together behind him, exciting things are sure to lie ahead.
